We are excited to announce the launch of new open access journal IJID Regions, an official journal of the International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID).
IJID Regions aims to publish high-quality, evidence-based infectious disease science of regional interest and relevance, enhance visibility of regional research with focus on those infectious diseases that are common in under-resourced countries and settings, and publish research that can be utilized by national and regional health clinicians, scientists, health systems, and public health policy makers.
“I am delighted to be Editor-in-Chief of the new open access journal IJID Regions, leading the way in research focusing on clinical infectious diseases, clinical epidemiology and public health. Together, with my editorial colleagues, we publish original clinical and laboratory-based research, together with reports of clinical trials and reviews dealing with the epidemiology, clinical diagnosis, treatment, and control of infectious diseases.”

We encourage authors to collaborate between institutions to ensure good sample size and firm conclusions. Prospective, randomised controlled trials are preferred over retrospective, descriptive studies.
