Congratulations to ISID’s ProMED-AMR moderators, Prof. Emmanuel Benyeogor from Nigeria and Dr. Sophie Bowman-Derrick from Australia, on the acceptance of their abstract for SEDRIC’s upcoming webinar on April 29, 2021 focusing on the successes, challenges, and potential opportunities for AMR surveillance in low- and middle-income countries.
Emmanuel and Sophie will present an overview of the ProMED-AMR network and its progress to date. They hope to promote the work of the network and ensure that those in low- and middle-income countries are aware of the network, so they can use this open-access resource to strengthen in-country surveillance and knowledge of AMR.
SEDRIC, the Surveillance and Epidemiology of Drug-resistant Infections Consortium, is a think tank designed to bring together a range of international experts to share expertise and take action to tackle the gaps in drug-resistant infection surveillance epidemiology. ISID is a proud member of SEDRIC.
