In celebration of International Women’s Day, Professors Without Borders’ Women in Higher Education Fellowship invites you to an inspiring online event featuring ISID's Scientific Manager, Aisha Abubakar, on Friday, 7th March 2025, at 12 PM UK time.
As the first female professor in the Department of Community Medicine at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Professor Abubakar has navigated remarkable challenges to pave the way for women in academia.
A dedicated epidemiologist and physician, she has held clinical and academic positions for over a decade and will be sharing her journey, experiences, and insights in this special lecture.
This event is part of the Women in Higher Education Fellowship, and in honour of International Women’s Day, it is open to all.
With the theme "I Can, and I Will," we will explore how women worldwide are breaking barriers, leading groundbreaking research, and reshaping the future of higher education. By fostering inclusivity, mentorship, and equity, we can build a world where every woman has the opportunity to achieve her highest potential.
