Congratulations to Aisha Abubakar for Receiving her Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification!

Congratulations to Dr. Aisha Abubakar - Manager, Scientific Programs at ISID, for earning her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. A PMP is an internationally recognized professional designation offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI), which certifies a person’s expertise in project management. Individuals with a PMP certification validate that they are highly skilled in motivating people and teams through all phases of a successful project, using predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches, and highlighting the success of a project and its impact on overall strategic organizational goals. Certified Project Managers add great benefits and value to any organization. Linda MacKinnon, ISID’s CEO, remarked,

“I am thrilled to congratulate Aisha on her incredible achievement, and we are grateful for her tenacity in pursuing this international certification. Her dedication to the Society and public health projects is a testament to her professionalism and commitment to the infectious disease space.”

PMP certification requires 4,500 hours of project management experience, 35 hours of project management education hours, and successfully passing an intense written exam. “Aisha is an awesome example of hard work, commitment, and determination. I am so happy to congratulate Aisha on her achievement and success. Well done!” says Christopher Widmer, ISID’s Chief Operations Officer. Aisha has been a part of the ISID Staff team since 2022 and can now add PMP Certification to her list of credentials!

Congratulations Aisha! 🎉
