Emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases continue to challenge health systems, economies, and societies worldwide. These challenges highlight the critical need for a One Health approach—a collaborative, multisectoral, and transdisciplinary framework that recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, plant, and environmental health. The International Journal of Infectious Diseases (IJID) One Health (OH), an open-access, peer-reviewed journal published monthly by the International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID), serves as a global platform for sharing high-quality, evidence-based research and expert perspectives that support One Health goals.

Call for Publications

To foster inclusive, timely, and impactful scientific exchange, IJID OH invites scientists, researchers, public health professionals, and practitioners to submit a brief concept note outlining the scope and significance of their intended manuscript. This initial submission will undergo a preliminary evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief to determine its alignment with the journal’s aims and scope prior to full manuscript submission.

What to Include in Your Concept Note

Your concept note  should briefly describe:

• Title and topic of your proposed manuscript
• Research objective or question
• Methods and approach
• Key findings or anticipated contributions
• Relevance to One Health and the journal’s focus areas

Scope of Interest

IJID OH welcomes concept notes across a broad spectrum of One Health-related themes, including:

• Human and veterinary diagnostics of zoonoses
• Zoonotic and vector-borne disease surveillance
• Epidemiological research and modeling of zoonotic diseases
• Environmental and ecosystem health determinants for zoonoses
