We are excited to announce that ISID’s Program for Monitoring Emerging Diseases (ProMED) has been accepted as a member of the Surveillance and Epidemiology of Drug-resistant Infections Consortium (SEDRIC) supported by Wellcome. SEDRIC brings together a wide range of international expertise and takes action to tackle the gaps in drug-resistant infection surveillance and epidemiology. Established in January 2018, SEDRIC is a global think tank aiming to transform the way countries track, share, and analyze information about drug-resistant infections. We recognize the critical importance of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in the world and are looking forward to join SEDRIC’s mission of strengthening information sharing, translating data into action, and supporting public health efforts around the world.
