The International Society for Infectious Disease provides multiple services to the infectious disease community including maintaining the world’s largest network for infectious and emerging disease surveillance, ProMED-mail; sponsoring the International Congress on Infectious Diseases (ICID) and the International Meeting on Emerging Diseases and Surveillance (IMED); and publishing the International Journal of Infectious Diseases (IJID).
Hundreds of infectious disease professionals are able to attend ICID and IMED through sponsorships. ProMED-mail is available to all for free. These activities are possible because of generous support from individuals, non-profit organizations and societies, corporations, foundations, and government grants.
To achieve our goals of increasing the knowledge base of infectious diseases through research, enhancing the professional development of individuals working in this discipline, extending and transferring technical expertise, and building collaboration among individuals and institutions for the control and cost-effective management of infectious diseases around the world, ISID needs your help.
Please make a donation to support ISID and ProMED-mail or consider purchase of the ProMED archives, an excellent opportunity for state-funded departments of health and research and academic institutions that are restricted from making charitable contributions to support ProMED while acquiring a valuable information resource for their libraries and labs.
